Katie Alonso

Coach Katie's favorite play to watch growing up was Michelle Akers. She loved that she was a leader on and off the field and a huge advocate for female athletes. She was fierce but steady- a true leader. A player Katie loves to watch now is Tobin Heath. She is a beast with a crazy work ethic.

Katie is going into her 11th year as an elementary school teacher! She currently teaches 3rd grade at Charles Barrett Elementary School in Alexandria. Go Pandas!

If she could live anywhere in the world Katie would definitely live in Spain. She has been there as a tourist, to visit her husband’s family, and she had the privilege to coach in Barcelona with ASA. España has everything she needs: incredible food, history, great weather, beautiful views, and incredible football (most important of course). When not coaching she enjoys spending time with her three kids (all under 5!) and her husband.
